Rodrigues & Vieira Help Eckerd Finish Fourth
Bermudian sailors PJ Rodrigues and Jordan Vieira helped Eckerd College finish fourth overall at the SAISA Open Top 9 regatta, hosted by the College of Charleston.
The Tritons totalled 238 points across the two-day competition, securing a place at the Atlantic Coast Championship qualifier.
Rodrigues partnered with crew William Alvarado to record 103 points, finishing first among the B Division entries and fifth in the combined fleet.
Vieira sailed with crew Avery Guck, with the pair collecting 135 points to place seventh among the A Division entries and 11th in the combined fleet.
Both Eckerd pairings recorded a race victory during the 14-race series. The College of Charleston won the team competition with 186 points, followed by the University of Miami on 197 and the University of South Florida on 198.
