Second Senior Bowling League Gets Underway
The Islanders defeated Just Kickin 4-0 as the Second Senior Bowling League season got underway at Warwick Bowl.
Blue Angels beat Drifters 3-1, Last Pin defeated New Comers 3-1, and Pinsplitters recorded a 3-1 victory over Star Lites.
Michael Vassell recorded the highest men’s scratch game with 198, followed by Kelvin Burt with 191 and Elvin Thomas with 177.
Vassell and Thomas shared the highest men’s scratch series with 510, while Burt placed third with 496.
Burt led the men’s handicap game standings with 251, ahead of Thomas with 217 and Vassell with 216. Burt also recorded the highest handicap series with 676, followed by Thomas with 630 and Willoughby Tucker with 578.
Jolene Bean led the women’s scratch game standings with 183, one pin ahead of Susie Bradshaw with 182. Bobbie Jones placed third with 181.
Bradshaw recorded the highest women’s scratch series with 524, followed by Jones with 475 and Bean with 452.
