Squash: Taylor Carrick Wins Opener In Quebec
Bermudian squash player Taylor Carrick came from a game down to defeat Canada’s Clément Leperlier in the opening round of the Open de la Ville de Québec in Canada.
Carrick secured a 9-11, 11-6, 11-7, 11-8 victory in 51 minutes on September 22, winning three consecutive games after dropping the opener.
The PSA Challenger Tour event is being held at Espace Y in Quebec City, with US$9,000 in prize money for the men’s competition.
Carrick subsequently faced top seed Joseph White in the second round on September 23, with the Australian winning 11-3, 11-7, 11-6.
