Bermuda Cybersecurity Conference On Nov 5th

The Cybersecurity Executives of Bermuda [CEB] and the ISACA Bermuda Chapter will host CYBERmuda 2026, the Bermuda Cybersecurity Conference, at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 5th at Paradise Mobile, Hamilton.

A spokesperson said, “The conference brings together senior technology and security executives from across insurance and reinsurance, banking and financial services, telecommunications, healthcare and critical infrastructure, alongside cyber insurers, brokers, and underwriters. Regulators and public-sector counterparts have also been invited. Attendance is capped at 40 so that every session is interactive.

“CYBERmuda 2026 also marks the public launch of the Cybersecurity Executives of Bermuda, a peer council of the island’s CIOs, CISOs, CTOs and equivalent leaders, co-chaired by Rafal Baran and Ronnie Viera. Members take part in a personal capacity.

“The Council exists to share threat intelligence and good practice, coordinate incident readiness through joint tabletop exercises, strengthen the cyber resilience of its members and of Bermuda as a whole, offer a non-partisan private-sector voice on cybersecurity policy and regulation, and support the development of Bermudian cybersecurity talent. CEB charges no membership fees and is strictly vendor-neutral.”

“Bermuda’s most important institutions are defended by a small group of people who, until now, had no structured way to work together,” said Rafal Baran, Co-Chair of CEB. “The Council gives them a trusted room to share what they are seeing, prepare together and speak with one voice when it matters. CYBERmuda is where that work begins.”

“ISACA Bermuda exists to raise the standard of governance, assurance and security on the island,” said Gabrielle Lang, President of the ISACA Bermuda Chapter. “Partnering with CEB connects our practitioner community with the executives who set the agenda, and the hands-on format means people leave with something they can put to use the next morning.”

The programme

A spokesperson added, “The afternoon is built around live, hands-on sessions:

• “Live attack discussion – AI-enabled social engineering, discuss how attackers now use AI to deceive staff and bypass controls.

• “Incident tabletop exercise – participants work through a realistic cyber incident together, testing decisions, escalation and communications in real time.

• “Where cybersecurity meets underwriting – a panel of cyber insurers, brokers, and underwriters on how security posture shapes cover, pricing and claims, a question central to Bermuda’s insurance and reinsurance market.

• “Wellbeing in security teams – a session on the pressure carried by security teams and their leaders, and how to sustain them.

“The afternoon closes with a hosted reception. The organisers thank Paradise Mobile for hosting the conference.”
