please fix the countless deadly potholes because many people are going to have grievous accidents and die due to the negligence of keeping roads safe. Going 5mph over the limit won’t kill you, but hitting a pothole 6 inches deep while you are driving a motorbike certainly will, especially when its raining and you have to guess which little puddle is your death sentence via invisible pothole. All the effort and millions of dollars put into the cameras and ticketing people all whilst we have these potholes endangering locals and tourists.
“Going 5mph over the limit” does not bother anyone I know.
Speeding through traffic lights and stop signs, so that drivers with the right of way have to take evasive manoeuvres, on the other hand does.
Motorcars and motorcycles travelling at speeds of 60 km/h to 78 km/h (37 mph to 48 mph) or more are a danger to others, as are motorcars and motorcycles overtaking on blind corners and anywhere on Harbour Road.
The sad fact is that the Bermuda Police Service stopped regularly enforcing traffic laws more than 20 years ago and now a whole generation of children have grown up with lawlessness on the roads being seen as acceptable
It must be that the speeders were on different roads than BPS. 79 km/h & 78 km/h are on the low side for the speed freaks.
Definitely won’t disagree with you on that !
