K’Shaela Burch-Waldron Scores In Sutton Win
Bermudian footballer K’Shaela Burch-Waldron found the net as Sutton United Women defeated Dorking Wanderers Women 3-2 in England.
Burch-Waldron returned to Sutton’s starting line-up in midfield and scored the team’s third goal around the half-hour mark.
Sutton United said an Emma Spear corner from the left was not cleared by the Dorking defence, allowing Burch-Waldron to “crash home” and give her side a 3-0 advantage.
Sophie Modak had opened the scoring directly from a corner in the seventh minute before Ella Meehan doubled Sutton’s advantage with a free kick in the 19th minute.
Dorking pulled a goal back before half-time through Holly Crane and reduced the deficit further through Amber Watson late in the second half, but Sutton held on to claim a 3-2 victory.
