Bicknell & Szymkowiak Advance To Open Final
Top seed Blaise Bicknell and seventh seed Kacper Szymkowiak will meet in a second successive Bermuda singles final after recording straight-sets victories at the WER Joell Tennis Stadium on Saturday [November 7].
Jamaica’s Bicknell defeated American Nathan Cox 6-1, 6-2 in the semi-finals of the ITF M15 Bermuda Open, dropping just three games to secure his place in the title match.
Poland’s Szymkowiak advanced with a 7-5, 6-3 victory over American second seed Keshav Chopra.
The results set up a repeat of the previous week’s final at the same venue, where Bicknell defeated Szymkowiak 6-2, 6-2 on November 1.
Bicknell will now seek a second consecutive singles title in Bermuda, while Szymkowiak will have another opportunity to claim the trophy.
