Lions Club Launch Charitable Christmas Drive
The Lions Clubs of Bermuda have launched their 38th annual Christmas hamper programme, targeting 1,000 food hampers for families and seniors.
A spokesperson said, “The Lions Clubs of Bermuda, in collaboration with the MarketPlace Group of Stores, proudly launch our 38th Annual Share the Christmas Spirit Program at the Hamilton MarketPlace on Thursday, November 5th, 2026, at 11:00 am. We are honored to have Bishop Nicholas Dill bless the program, and we look forward to the wonderful entertainment from the St. David’s School Choir.
“For 38 years, the incredible generosity of the Bermudian community and our valued partners has helped thousands of families and seniors experience a brighter Christmas.
“With the rising cost of living putting pressure on households across our island, many families and seniors face the tough reality of stretching budgets to cover proper, nutritious food every day. Behind every single request for a hamper is a neighbor who deserves support, dignity, and the comforting reassurance that Bermuda truly cares.
“No family should have to face hunger in silence, and no family requesting a hamper should ever be turned away because we lack the resources to help. This year, our goal is to provide 1,000 Healthy Lifestyle Food Hampers, fully customized to accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions, and we need Bermuda’s collective help to make this happen.

- Donate Non-Perishables: Drop off items in our specially decorated collection bins at MarketPlace Group of Stores locations across the island.

- Support Our Tag Days: Join us and give generously on Thursday, November 26, and Saturday, November 28, at MarketPlace and other designated locations island-wide.
