Rugby Players Receive Season Awards
Several players in the Beyond Rugby Bermuda programme have received awards recognising their achievements on and off the field.
Rae Butterfield received the Be There Award and the Berkeley Institute Academic Improvement Award.
The Be There Award recognises Butterfield’s compassion, communication and sense of community, while her academic award acknowledges her progress in the classroom.
Santiago Almeida received the Be Brave Award for his aspiration, perseverance and resilience.
The award recognises his willingness to challenge himself and continue making progress during his Beyond Rugby journey.
Arshani Astwood was presented with the Be You Award, which recognises her authenticity, awareness and positive attitude.
Asher Wheddon received the Be You Award and the Academic Achievement Award for CedarBridge Academy.
The awards recognise his contribution to the programme and his success in the classroom.
Sajadie Simmons was named recipient of the 2025-26 Beyond Rugby Award in recognition of her commitment, consistency and sense of fun, as well as her continued engagement with the programme.
