Videos: School of Music Steel Pan Orchestra
On Wednesday December 9th, CedarBridge Academy hosted their ‘Winter POPS Concert’ at the Ruth Seaton James Auditorium. The concert featured the CedarBridge String Ensemble as well as the Bermuda School of Music Steel Pan Orchestra all performing excellent renditions of a variety if Christmas music. Thanks to teacher Janice for bringing back the island flavour and sound. Thanks to the students for interest in our heritage and representing it well! I fondly remember the Esso Steel Orchestra performing around the hotels when I was young, and missed bragging about a novelty such as this to my foreign classmates when they disbanded.
Perhaps we can have a senior-junior event later this year? Or a reunion of the pan masters around Cup Match?
