Awesome! Great news, and good to see some positive news about our young people for a change. I vote Flora Duffy and Lamont Marshall is this years National Heroes! Two positive… hard working, young people excelling in what they do!

Well done Ms Duffy and Mr. Marshall, well done!. Nunya–open your eyes, spread your wings, there is a great deal of positive news out there about our young people, unfortunately it appears that when it comes to sports, Island Stats is the only group that provides real and extensive coverage. Have a read and you may be a little surprised to see the dozens of young men and women excelling at US Prep School,Colleges and Universities in football/soccer, track&field, basketball, etc etc. It’s truly pathetic that our newspaper without fail puts their tabloid spin on local sports and history will show that they seek the sensational and negative, particularly when it comes to football and cricket. What I don’t get is why in a local economy that is loosing dozens of jobs on a daily basis we still rely on foreign writers to cover local sport. Actually, I never got why we would allow this in the first place.

Well done to Flora,Lamont and Ashley. I agree with Nunya, they would make great heroes for National Heroes day.

As to One Love’s commnets I agree there is an amazing amount of good stuff going on with our young people and we should do more to celebrate it. However I find that for someone with a name like One Love to post so much negativity on such a positive stroy is really sad. Can we not just be proud of these peoples achievements without turning everything into a political statement?

I for one am very proud of them.

    peace and love to all
