Sophie Tod Joins Appleby As Senior Associate

Sohpie Todd CMYK 300Appleby has announced the recruitment of an additional experienced Bermudian lawyer to the Bermuda Private Client and Trusts team.

Sophie Tod has joined the Bermuda Private Client team of Appleby as a Senior Associate. She has approximately 10 years of experience and has worked for leading law firms in Geneva, the UK and Bermuda.

She was also formerly legal counsel for the Bermuda Monetary Authority, advising on the regulation of the trust, insurance and investment industries and assisted in the drafting of associated Bermuda legislation. Ms Tod is a member of STEP and has served on the executive committee in Bermuda.

Ms Tod specialises in providing non-contentious trust services to high-net-worth individuals, family offices, private banks, charities and trust companies. She advises on a wide range of wealth planning structures including trusts, private trust companies, corporate trustees, insurance entities, unit trusts and pension schemes.
