    “Expanding Bermuda’s Housing Stock”

Perhaps if the political environment was not hostile to landlords people might build more rental homes.

    • Triangle Drifter says:

Where is the legislation, tabled in the HOA last fall and promptly suspended by the PLP, to revise the Landlord Tenant Act and the Rent Control Act supposedly to bring some fairness to the landlords.

This legislation was more than five years in the making, getting kicked back and forth within the caverns of Government with, of course, no input sought from landlords.

It is of little wonder that there is a shortage of lower income housing and a reluctance of landlords to rent because of the blatant bias of the courts.

  2. Triangle Drifter says:

HUH! Why are there sittings of the HOA in September? What happened to the days of rising for the summer break at the end of June and not returning until November?

Is this Government accomplishing anything more jawing away with the extra sessions?
