Photos: 2011 Christmas Santa Parade
Scores of people lined the streets of Hamilton last night [Nov.27] for the popular annual Santa Claus parade. The parade started from Par-La-Ville Road car park, exited left onto Church Street, left onto Par-La-Ville Road, along Par-La-Ville Road to Front Street, left onto Front Street, then left onto Court Street and left along Church Street.
Locals, young and old, packed the streets as the annual Parade made its way through the City. Dozens of groups took part including various majorette, dance groups, the Gombeys, the Bermuda Longriders and more. Various groups gave out candy and gifts along the route, with excited children rushing to accept the treats.

Very enjoyable Santa Claus Parade as usual except one thing.
There were no marshals on the route and the kids were out of control with going out into the street for the candy. I could not believe the parents allowed their children to run out there.
It got so bad that one little girl almost got her foot crushed by a flat bed truck because she was trying to reach up to the person handing out the candy from the truck.
I hope we will not have to have barriers up to keep our children safe for the parade.
