Photos/Results: First & Premier Division
A number of football games took place across Bermuda this past weekend. The results of the First and Premier Division matches follow below:
First Division
Devonshire Colts 1 Prospect United 1
At the Police Field, the Devonshire Colts took the lead in the Lozendro Symonds scored in the 42nd minute, Shaki Swan equalized for Prospect United in the 50th minute as the two teams shared the points.
Hamilton Parish 2 X’Road’s 1
At the Wellington Oval, X’Road’s went in front in the 15th minute when Andre Burgess found the back of the net, Marcel Dill equalized for Hamilton Parish in the 24th minute, Dill then gave Hamilton Parish the lead in the 42nd minute and with no further goals Hamilton Parish came away with a 2 – 1 win over X’Road’s.
Paget Lions 1 Somerset Eagles 6
At the White Hill Field, the Paget Lions took the lead in the 1st minute when Levi Smith scored, but Kyle Williams equalized for the Somerset Eagles in the 11th minute, four minutes later the Somerset Eagles took the lead when Williams scored again. Jonte Pearson gave the Somerset Eagles a 3 – 1 lead in the 45th minute, then five minutes into the second half saw Williams complete his hat-trick to make the score 4 – 1. Xhosi Bascome scored for the Somerset Eagles in the 80th minute and then Steve Dread scored in the 83rd minute for the Somerset Eagles to win 6 – 1.
BAA 3 Young Men Social Club 0
At the BAA Field, Vance Hill gave BAA the lead in the 41st minute, Hill then doubled the lead in the 64th minute and then Hill completed his hat-trick with a goal in the 78th minute as BAA defeated Young Men Social Club 3 – 0.
Digicel Premier Division
Southampton Rangers 1 PHC Zebras 3
At the Southampton Oval, Antwan Russell gave the PHC Zebras the lead in the 10th minute, but Vernon Perinchief equalized for the Southampton Rangers. Shakir Smith put the PHC Zebras back in front in the 51st minute before closing out the scoring in the 90th minute for the PHC Zebras to win 3 – 1.
St. George’s Colts 1 North Village 2
At the Wellington Oval, Tyrell Burgess gave the visiting North Village Rams the lead in the 40th minute, Jarazinho Bassett equalized for the home team St. George’s Colts, but Burgess scored the North Village Rams winner in the 73rd minute.
St. David’s 3 Somerset Trojans 3
At Lord’s in St. David’s, Dion Stovell gave the Somerset Trojans the lead in the 5th minute, Jonathan Bean doubled the lead in the 7th minute, but Domonique Lambert pulled a goal back for St. David’s in the 35th minute and then Aaron Crockwell equalized for St. David’s in the 53rd minute. Stovell then put the visiting Somerset Trojans back in front with a goal in the 69th minute, but Otis Minors equalized for St. David’s in the 73rd minute.
Boulevard Blazers 1 Devonshire Cougars 3
At the BAA Field, Moses Steede gave the Devonshire Cougars the lead in the 21st minute, Kwame Steede doubled the Devonshire Cougars lead in the 40th minute. Sergio Robinson pulled a goal back for the Boulevard Blazers in the 81st minute, but Reggie Baker restored the Devonshire Cougars two goal lead with a goal in the 89th minute.
