46-Yr-Old Man In ICU After Accident

A 46-year-old man is in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit after being involved in a two vehicle collision at the junction of South Road & Tribe Road #2 South in Warwick on Friday night [Mar.23].

“It appears that an auxiliary cycle was traveling along South Road and a SUV was traveling along Tribe Road #2 South when the vehicles collided at the junction,” said the police.

“The auxiliary cycle rider, a 46 year old Pembroke man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check the victim was in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit. There were no other injuries reported.

“Inquiries into this incident are ongoing. Any witnesses to this collision are encouraged to contact PC Lesa Stovell on 295-0011.”

Around one hour later police attended a two vehicle damage only collision at the junction of Court Street and Angle Street in Pembroke, in which a car and auxiliary cycle collided at the junction. The cycle was extensively damaged, the car received moderate damage, and there were no reported injuries.
