Dr Donald Thomas On “Administrative Leave”
The Bermuda Hospitals Board confirmed that the hospital’s Chief of Staff, Dr Donald Thomas, is currently on “administrative leave,” however declined to comment further.
A BHB spokesperson said: “We can confirm that our Chief of Staff, Dr Donald Thomas, is currently on administrative leave while a Board review is carried out.
“We cannot comment any further on individual matters, but interim arrangements are being made to ensure continuity of medical leadership.”

Let’s hope the BHB reveal the truth, because the grapevine is burning with speculation.
Believe me the truth is soon coming as there is a lot of skeletons in this mans closet! Staff here are happy to see him out!
Who is he? Bermuda connections before getting the job? Prior employment history? Getting paid while on leave?
Much needs to be drug out of the BHB.
It is to be hoped that the results of the Board review will be made public. Hospital costs have increased considerably and the choices for certain tests have narrowed during his tenure.
