Minister Scott Thanks Staff For Hard Work

September 12, 2012

The Minister of Government Estates and Information Services Michael Scott yesterday [Sept 11] thanked all of the “dedicated men and women working at his Ministry’s Prospect Depot and the Ministry of Education’s Facilities Department for all of their hard work and commitment.”

Minister Scott said: “Ensuring our community’s growth and stability is concern of all Bermudians. A good foundation for that growth begins with a solid education for our youth.”

He added: “This Government feels that the first day of school after the long summer break sets the tone and expectations for the rest of the school year. Students are not only greeted by faculty and friends; but also a fresh facility with new paint and waxed floors.”

The Ministry of Government Estates and Information Services works with the Ministry of Education to coordinate all of the works required for the schools.

“The various work units at the Prospect Depot begin planning these works with the Ministry of Education’s Facilities Department as early as February, ensuring that there is no delay or disruption with this very important first day,” the Ministry said.
