Two Visitors Injured In Cycle Collision

Two visitors — one an 11-year-old boy — were injured last night after being involved in an accident, which saw their rental cycle hit a wall in Sandys. Both were treated at KEMH, and released.

A police spokesperson said: “Around 7:40pm on Wednesday, September 26th police and first responders attended a reported collision on Somerset Road in Sandys parish. It appears that a rental cycle was being ridden over Somerset Bridge when the collision occurred with a nearby wall.”

“The rental cycle rider and his passenger, a 52 year old American man and an 11 year old American boy respectively, were injured as a result. Both visitors were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and later discharged. Inquiries into this collision are underway.”
