November 2012 Consumer Price Index

Consumers paid 1.9% more in November 2012 than they did a year ago for the basket of goods and services included in the Consumer Price Index.

The annual inflation rate increased by 0.2 percentage points compared to the 1.7% measured in October 2012. Between October and November 2012, the average cost of goods and services in the Consumer Price Index fell 0.4%.

The all-items index decreased from 120.9 in October, to 120.5 index points in November. This means that the basket of goods and services that cost $100.00 in April 2006 now cost $120.50.

    Prices will continue to rise as logistics rise with lower demand. It is a brutal reality of Bermuda. Meanwhile wages are going down, and the Government has a terrible pile of debt crippling it’s ability to assist effectively.
    Myself and the company I work for we don’t have anything left to cut, although I guess my internet access would be next.
