Cross Country Runners Compete In Jamaica

The North America, Central America and Caribbean [NACAC] Cross Country Championships took place this past weekend in Mandeville, Jamaica.

The Bermuda Junior Girls finished in 5th place overall at the 4K Distance with all four participants finishing in the top 30. Zakkiyah Showers finished 21st overall clocking a time of 17:03, Kyrah Scraders finished 26th with a time of 17:41, while Quaashie Douglas finished 27th clocking 17:50, and Quinnae Outerbridge clocked 19:04 crossing the line 29th overall.

The Bermuda Junior Boys matched the Girls finishing in 5th place overall at the 6K distance. Juma Mouchette was the top finisher clocking a time of 22:52 crossing the line 28th, while Daniel Oatley finished 31st with a time of 23:35. Michaiah Robinson finished 33rd with a time of 26:59 and Nico Barclay finished 34th crossing the line in a time of 27:05.

Tamika Williams finished the Women’s Open 6K race 18th overall with a time of 26:34, while Lamont Marshall finished 15th overall in the Men’s Open 8K Race clocking 26:55.
