Drunk or sober Bermudians can’t drive. Unbelievable for a place where the speeds are so slow, there is no mountain driving, there is no ice or snow to drive in!!!

    • Soooooo says:

Yeah, beer made that red light look green…. Shame there’re was traffic coming the other way…..

    • Necromonger says:

You are a complete and utter Idiot…

Get a life or just drift away Loser…!!

    • Y.N.W.A. says:

Yes, that explains why so many tourists come here and get in accidents. Your logic is excellent.

  2. Yes says:

    Very sad

  3. Kangoocar says:

Another idiot!!! Does anybody ever wonder why motor vehicle insurance continues to rise?? It is because of fools like this!! Thank god nobody was killed!

    • Soooooo says:

Don’t forget about medical insurance… We all have to pay with the fools!!

      • Kangoocar says:

Soooooo, you are absolutely correct!!! I did forget health Insurance!! Thanks

        • Tooth Fairy says:

Almost every Monday morning as I drive from the East along the North Shore into Hamilton, I come along at least one spot where someone has driven their car into a wall or fence and destroyed it. In most cases it was as a result of DUI or speeding. Im amazed at how often the walls and fences are not fixed and nobody is held accountable. Make the speeders and DUI idiots pay to have things rebuilt that they ddestroyed instead of it coming out of the public purse or sitting there destroyed.

Take a look around you as you drive to work tomorrow and you will likely see dozens of examples (from over the years)of what I am talking about.

OBA and PLP ministers can you work together to change and enforce legislation that will make these guys pay – instead of the public.

          • street wise says:

Smashing through a wall is a “right of passage” in Bda.

  4. Rockfish says:

It does not pay to run traffic lights under the influence. Smh.. I wish there was a pic of the accident as I cannot figure out how five cars were struck.

  5. drunken ursula says:

fools had me waiting on the bus for well or an hour…..special thanks to Mr. Scott and Mr.Furbert…the drivers

  6. Mad Dawg says:

It’s ridiculous. Bloody useless stupid drunk drivers. Peeeses me off.

  7. Triangle Drifter says:

Ok, lets see if I have this right, a car runs the light at road construction & crashes into a car coming the other way. That is a 2 vehicle crash. So how are the other 3 involved? Let me guess. The third car was tailgating & ran into the first in line on the green. The fourth was tailgating the third & ran into the third. The fifth was tailgating the fourth & ran into the back of him.

Marvelous! One drunk fool runs a light & three other fools sandwich the car which has done nothing wrong because they are following way too close.

    Is that about it?

Thanks for increasing my insurance premiums. Idiots! Over 40 years no crashes here & I drive the same roads.

    • rubber bong says:

how about he ran the light, ricocheted off one, hit another and sideswiped two or pushed one into another. He must have been going pretty fast to think he could make it before the oncoming traffic. don’t try to shift the blame to the oncoming traffic. He was allegedly drunk, and if you knew more details would know ___ ___ ___ ___…plain and simple

      • Triangle Drifter says:

I stand corrected in this crash, though the speculation is not too far off given the set up. My appologies to those concerned having now spoken to one of the drivers struck.

One driver at that speed doing all of that damage. Amazing! Remove him from the road for a long long time.

  8. Nuffin but de Truth! says:

    ONLY in Bermuda…dumb ass!
should rip his license up for ever.

  9. backbush says:

glad no body got hurt bad. it wont amaze me if we had a lot more 5 car pile up. have you notice that most drivers in Bermuda tailgate. take look tomorrow and see for your self

    • flip says:

Tailgating is a major issue, but it’s not one that is monitored or policed. I personally have less issue with someone “speeding” depending on location and situation than those who tailgate or drive in a reckless manner.

  10. Commander Carlsberg says:

    Carlsberg doesn’t do traffic lights.
    But, if it did………

  11. Xman says:

All the Drunks seem have taken the Bar to the roads.
Since the Christmas holidays I know quite a few who have so far have been before the Courts for just plain old driving under the influence
or causing road accidents under the influence of acholic beverages .

  12. the facts says:

    AT triangle drifter

before you run wild and wrong

speeding out of control the fool hit a law-bidding citzen at the first stop light then he flew over the bridge hit another law-bidding citzen’s car who had the green light to proceed then after crashing into them hit the next law-bidding citzen then another after that finally crashing to a stop himself SO ease up with your lack of facts before attacking…

    • Triangle Drifter says:

See post above. Appology issued. Would you be big enough to do same?

    • BermudaGirl says:

I can’t even wrap my head around all that foolish action!!!

  13. Wow says:

First offense for DUI = license suspended for 5 years
Second offense for DUI – license revoked for life
No exceptions no more chances to kill someone else or cause damage to others or property.
Time to get serious about our issues!

    • Just One says:

Love that idea, hope the legislators are reading this!!!

  14. when will people learn. some people just don’t learn.the law needs to changed, its gotten worse. FED UP.

  15. Necromonger says:

    @ Triangle Drifter…

Please get a life and drift away….

You trawl these stories and show your narrow sighted and biased views.
Your perception of this accident and other incidents that happen on this little island are so skewed.
I only wish your fingers would fall off so you would stop commenting of S__t you have no idea about.

    Drift … away….. PLEASE.

    • Triangle Drifter says:

Will do soon, but not because of your wishes. In the meantime try doing what I do when I see certain, usually very wordy, posters. Ignore the postings.

    • BermudaGirl says:

What is a necromonger? Sounds….sick, frankly. Just asking.

  16. Y-Gurl says:

it would be nice if our asleep at the wheel police service actually caught these drunk drivers every now and then BEFORE they end up in a bent vehicle, most of the DUI’s are arrested “at the scene” how about some sobriety check points to help stop the drunk drivers getting to the scene!

  17. Islander says:

Car insurance question – how much higher does their insurance go up if the car is their’s…. a person driving someone else’s car with the driver as passenger – does the owner’s insurance go up as well? The drivers should be titled as “Insurance Risk” and not allowed to have coverage – pay for all de damages out of your own pockets. Perhaps that would curtail some of this nonsense.

  18. Always Watching says:

People make me laugh..this matter hasn’t even gone before the court yet and everyone is jumping to conclusions..

typical Bermudians, wait till you see what really happened !!!
