CellOne-Launches-Mobile-Device-Management-ServicesCellOne announced today [Mar 31] the launch of their Mobile Device Management [MDM] solution targeted at business users and their mobile devices.

The Company said, “MDM has rapidly grown in importance to ICT managers as they seek to improve security, policy administration, remote access and content management for their growing portfolios of smartphones and tablets.

“CellOne is offering the Maas360 solution by Fiberlink, an IBM company, which has been rated by Gartner Research in their Magic Quadrant report two years in a row as a visionary leader in the field of MDM with high scores for ease of implementation and use.

“The product is cloud based which means no on-premise equipment and applications for a customer to install and support.

“The solution addresses key changes in the ever evolving wireless world, particularly the trend of “bring your own device”, where employees can bring and use at work their personal device and the need to “containerize” personal content from business data is critical.

“MDM solutions also address the shift from Blackberry to alternative devices with Android, iOS or Windows operating systems and the need to provide a centralized solution for managing all smart devices.

“We are excited to launch another value added service to our Business Solutions offering” says Frank Amaral, CellOne CEO. “Maas360 offers businesses a powerful and reliable solution as they look to support non Blackberry devices and if they also want greater control and functionality than what Exchange ActiveSync can offer.

The new service can be purchased either as a platform for the customer to manage or as an outsourced managed service provided by CellOne’s customer service team.
