Bermuda To Host Interpol Specialist Meeting

The 32nd meeting of Interpol Specialist Group on Crimes against Children will take place in Bermuda on September 28th – October 3rd at the Fairmont Southampton. 31 countries of the 45 member countries will be present, and close to 150 delegates have registered.

A spokesperson said, “The Interpol Specialist Group on Crimes against Children [ISGCAC] is an international multi-disciplinary working group dedicated to preventing the abuse of Children.

“Through research, education, shared intelligence, the ISGCAC promotes evidence based practice, public policy and community and law enforcement strategies that lead to the effective prosecution, and management of individuals who have abused or are at risk to abuse children.

“By addressing new trends and modus operandi, the ISGCAC’s main object is to keep abreast of the latest developments and propose recommendations for INTERPOL’s General Assembly to prevent child abuse and exploitation worldwide. This is the 100th year anniversary of Interpol and the 135 anniversary of the Bermuda Police Service. ”

    In-spite of the recent reports on certain people being charged with child abuse and the fact, “one is presumed innocent until proven guilt” it’s still the elephant in the corner that must be dealt with a.s.a.p.

    How can you “manage” or track the movements of child abusers who are afforded anonymity, they probably aren’t on the “stop list” either , judging by the amount of offenses reported we have a big problem here.
