Young Rugby Players Visit Government House

Members of the U17 Bermuda Rugby Team —  Daneko Hayward-Cann, Jahniko Francis, Camren Caines, Padraic O’Shaughnessy, Alex Doyling and Azzi Mayes — recently attended a function hosted by Governor George Ferguson with representatives from all the teams in the World Rugby Classic.

BRFU Youth Development Officer, Patrick Calow highlighted, “This was a wonderful opportunity for our young players to attend a prestigious rugby event at Government House and get to mix various representative from around the world who are participating in the World Rugby Classic.

“It helps the players see that rugby is a major sport played across the world. We want our players to feel proud to represent Bermuda as part of the National Squad and this helps contribute towards that. We’re very grateful to Governor George Ferguson for inviting the players.”
