Bermuda Martial Artists Place 1st, 2nd In Virginia

Bermuda’s Skipper Ingham, Kent Bean, Andrea McKey and Ryley Mason were all in action this past weekend at the John Chung Open Martial Arts Tournament held in Virginia, picking up a number of first and second place finishes.

Kent Bean placed first in soft weapons on the first day of competition, while Andrea McKey placed first in both open and traditional weapons.

On the second day of competition, Ryley Mason placed second in intermediate traditional forms, Andrea McKey finished second in traditional forms over 40, Kent Bean placed first in wushu while 84-year-old Skipper Ingham showed his timeless form by claming first place in a field of five over 40s in the traditional forms. Mr. Ingham and Jeff Daws were tied in judges scoring, and were awarded a double championship.
