Photos: BBFS Youth Footballers Play In Canada

The Bermuda’s Brazilian Football School [BBFS] 8th Annual Football Cultural Tour to Canada has been a success thus far, with the teams recording 4 wins, including  the U14 boys team defeating the Turks and Caicos 3-0.

During the past four days the group has played a total of 12 games with 4 wins, 4 draws and 2 losses. The U12 boys won 2 and had 2 draws, U11 girls 2 draws and 2 losses and U14 boys with 2 wins, 2-0 and 3-0 respectively . The U14 girls have played as guest players with Canadian teams and have also joined the U12 Boys in two matches.

The highlight of the tour thus far was the opening ceremony of the Guelph Football Festival. The BBFS players and participating teams were paraded onto the field and welcomed to Canada by the Mayor of Guelph.

On the pitch, the U14 boys overcame the U14 National team of Turks and Caicos 3-0. Later in the day the U14 girls [Cally Blankendal, Talea Quinn and Aaliyah Simons] played as guest players with the Guelph U14 teams defeating the TC national girls select team 7-0.

Aaliyah scored a powerful header of a cross by Cally Blankendal, Aaliyah capped of a fine performance by turning her defender in the box and driving home a low shot past the TC goal-keeper.
