Bermuda CableVision To Merge With Logic

July 16, 2015

KeyTech confirmed that its subsidiary has acquired 100% of the issued shares of Bermuda CableVision which will allow CableVision to be merged with Logic Communications, and as a result of the merger Cablevision will be rebranded as Logic.

“The KeyTech Group of Companies today announces that its subsidiary has acquired 100 per cent of the issued shares of Bermuda CableVision. This will allow CableVision to be merged with Logic Communications Ltd,” a statement said.

Lloyd Fray, CEO, KeyTech Group of Companies, says: “This is a significant transaction for KeyTech and we are incredibly excited to be announcing this news today. The transaction positions Logic for future growth as it brings together Bermuda’s premier ISP and cable access providers.

“In order for these companies to meet growing consumer demand for high bandwidth products, one bill, and to expedite capital intensive projects for network expansion and upgrades, we felt it was prudent for KeyTech to acquire 100 per cent of the Cablevision shares and to merge these two entities.

“The combination of Logic and Cablevision will create a “triple play” telecommunications provider that is supported by a robust network with superior customer service that caters to both corporate and residential customers.

“Logic and Cablevision customers will benefit from an improved customer experience and be able to enjoy the benefits of bundled ISP services with access, unified billing and telephony.”

“As a result of the merger, Cablevision will be rebranded as Logic. Both Cablevision and Logic’s existing customer service centres will continue to operate under the Logic brand.”

Outside of the C.E.O. There most likely will be no job losses. Both companies do different types of work.

  11. Jim says:

Great, I suppose that the Cablevision customer support will soon suck just as bad as Logic’s. Surely this gives them too much of a monopoly on prices now that they’ve swallowed up their main competitor.

  12. somuchless says:

I switched from logic to cable vision and now I’ll be back to where I started? Ugh. Logic sucks.

    • Rhonnie aka BlueFamiliar says:

I switched from Logic to Northrock ages back due to a very bad customer service experience with Logic. I had great service and customer service from Northrock, but as soon as Logic took over the service went appreciably downhill. I don’t understand why because really nothing should have changed.

But now with the arbitrary decisions made with Cablevision service, I have to say I’m concerned with what we’re going to end up with. (Nothing negative to say about customer service at Logic at present as I’ve not had a reason to use them. I wait out service outages.) (Only one negative to say about Cablevision customer service, they neither answer voicemail or email, but you can get things done face to face.)

  13. George says:

Indeed Regulatory Authority………..where were you when this was all going down?! Is it not part of the RA’s remit to ensure that monopolies/duopolies like this do not affect the telecommunications market negatively?

  14. sigh..... says:

    NOOOOOOOO

Cablevision customer service has become so great and Logic is AWFUL….. NOOOOOOOOO :-(

  15. smudge says:

logic messed up Northrock service. Never reply to queries. Lets see what they do to Cablevision, surely it can’t be any worse than it is now
