Two Men Shot, 26-Year-Old Man Has Died
[Updated. At around 10:40pm on Friday [Oct 23] there was a shooting outside Southampton Rangers. A 26 year old man died as a result of his injuries, and the second male shooting victim was taken to hospital for an injury that is “not believed to be serious at this time.”]
At sometime around 10.30pm this evening [Oct 23] the police responded to the Southampton Rangers area.
While details are unclear at this time, an ambulance was seen speeding away from the area before 11.00pm, and the police are on scene and crime scene tape is visible. Further details are limited at this time, however we will update with additional information as able.
Update 11.28pm: The police confirm that it has been a shooting, and one man has been injured. We are expecting to receive a full police statement later, and will update as able.
Update 12.00am: Police confirm that the shooting victim, a 26-year-old man, has died from his injuries. They also said a second man was shot and his condition unknown at this time.

Mr Simmons said the second man’s injuries are “not believed to be as serious at this time, but we do not know the extent of those injuries currently.”
He said that it appears that the shooting happened outside the club, and the 26-year-old was taken to the hospital via ambulance and he subsequently succumbed to his injuries, and the second man was taken to hospital via taxi.

Around 10:40pm on Friday, October 23rd police officers responded to a report of gunshots at Southampton Rangers Sports Club.
It appears that two men were shot outside the club – one, a 26 year old man, was taken to hospital via ambulance and later pronounced dead.
The other male was apparently taken to hospital via taxi for treatment. His injury is not believed to be serious at this time.
No further information regarding the deceased will be given until his next of kin has been notified.
The scene has been cordoned off and a full investigation into this fatal shooting is underway.
