Zeiko Lewis Scores In Boston College Draw
Marking his third goal of the season, Bermuda’s Zeiko Lewis — who plays for Boston College — scored the equalizing goal in the 86th minute to force overtime and the eventual 1-1 draw against Louisville.
The school’s match report said, “Zeiko Lewis scored the equalizing goal in the 86th minute to force overtime and the eventual 1-1 draw. It was his third goal of the season.
“Lewis scored the equalizer with four minutes left to play in regulation to force overtime.
“Both sides took three shots in the first half and both goalkeepers had to make a save.
“Louisville had the best chance when Daniel Johnson fired a hard shot off a give-and-go, but Saladin dove to his right to make the stop.
“The Cardinals cashed in the first goal of the night in the 65th minute. Geoffrey Dee handled the ball on the end line to the right of the goal. He found Johnson, who was dangerous all night, at the top of the box who finished it for the 1-0 lead.
“Boston College finally found its goal in the 86th minute. Sophomore Trevor Davock took a shot that was saved by the keeper. The rebound went to Enstrom, who turned and found an open Lewis who put it in for the 1-1 tie.
“Louisville outshot BC, 4-1, in the two overtime periods. Saladin was forced to make a save with 37 seconds left in the first OT period.”
Lewis and the Boston College team travels to Pittsburgh next Friday.
Good stuff Zeiko, your family and Bermuda are proud of you. Continue working hard and scoring goals and you will be greatly rewarded at the end of your collegiate career! All the best!
