In an effort to highlight, showcase, and support female owned businesses, W.O.M.B [Women who Own and Manage Businesses] recently hosted their first market for female businesses on November 29th at the BAA Gymnasium.
A spokesperson said, “One of the main purposes of W.O.M.B is to provide opportunities for female entrepreneurs showcase themselves and their businesses. In doing research on Women in Entrepreneurship Day, it was discovered that the Wednesday, after Thanksgiving has been sanctioned as Women WOW/Women Wednesday, the day where people are encouraged to support female entrepreneurs in their community.”
“Looking as an opportunity to provide a platform for people to support the various female businesses in Bermuda, W.O.M.B is hosting this market,” states the W.O.M.B Facilitator, Stephanie Lee. “Also fitting with GEW Bermuda, as platform supporting economic development in Bermuda.

“I’m pleased to have such a number, and a selection of businesses represented. This just shows how influential Bermuda’s Female Entrepreneurs are to our economy. This is an opportunity to showcase the diversity, uniqueness, and originality of Bermuda’s Female Businesses. We encourage the community to come out to show their support. A number of the businesses have donated prizes for the raffle draw at the market.
