Photos/Results: Duckett Memorial Rugby Game

The Bermuda Police Rugby Football Club hosted the 2018 edition of the George Duckett Memorial Rugby Tournament at Police Field in Prospect.

George Duckett was a former Commissioner of Police who was assassinated in 1972. Duckett was a larger than life Commissioner who stood at 6’5” tall, and was well known as an ardent rugby fan, and in 1973, the Bermuda Police Rugby Section commenced an annual memorial game named in his honour.

In the recent match, the Bermuda Police Rugby Football Club were beaten by ‘The Rest’ who also retained the Duckett Memorial Trophy.

The Rest won the Women’s 2nd’s Team game, and The Rest would also win the First Women’s retaining the Rosanda L Jones Trophy and the Rest Men’s 2nd’s Team also won their game.
