A trip in January 2018 by Premier and Minister of Finance David Burt to Switzerland for a series of meetings coinciding with the 48th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting cost $7,156.29, according to a recent listing on the Government’s travel webpage.
The trip duration was listed as from January 21, 2018 – January 26, 2018, and the web page listing said, “Premier and Minister of Finance the Hon David Burt travelled to Davos, Switzerland January 21-26 2018 for a series of meetings coinciding with the 48th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting.
“The key objectives of the trip were to promote the advantages of Bermuda for international business, and to establish partnerships with global experts who could help to build the regulatory framework to support Bermuda’s new blockchain/cryptoasset offering.
“The Premier was accompanied by Minister of National Security the Hon Wayne Caines, Sean Moran Head of Business Development at the Bermuda Business Development Agency [BDA], and the Premier’s Chief of Staff Owen Darrell.”

$1131 for ground transportation? Must have been a fine ride! Why are the costs for the other three members of the entourage not listed?
What about the expenses of the three that accompanied him? Also, I refuse to believe that it only cost $210.87 for 6 days meals.
Whoa!!! We can times that by at least 2 with Wayne Caines over there as well $1,000 on ground transportation?!
$1,131 for ground transportation? Is that how much adult ski school costs for a week in Davos? Expensive resort!
