A trip in November 2023 by Minister of Youth, Social Development and Seniors Tinèe Furbert to Barbados cost $0, according to a recent listing on the Government’s travel webpage.

The trip duration was listed as from November 20, 2023 – November 21, 2023, and the web page listing said, “The Hon. Tinèe S. Furbert, JP, MP, Minister of Youth, Social Development and Seniors attended the Forty-Sixth Meeting of the Council For Human and Social Development [COHSOD] on Gender in Bridgetown, Barbados November 20th and 21st, 2023.

“The Forty-Sixth Meeting of the COHSOD launched and reviewed the Draft CARICOM Gender Equality Strategy. The Meeting engaged CARICOM Member States and Associate Members in discussing the implementation, monitoring, outcomes, and achievements of the CARICOM Gender Equality Strategy.

“The Minister’s attendance at this meeting was fully funded by CARICOM.”

    Which costs us how much, exactly? Because airline tickets and hotel rooms don’t appear out of thin air.

      Travel cost $3000 you complain, travel costs $0 you complain, their is clearly nothing that this Gov’t can do to please your kind… Probably why MP Jason Hayward said what he said.
