Results: Bermuda U19 & BAC Women In Blue Win
The Bermuda Netball Association’s Summer League season resumed at the Bernard Park, with three games on tap.
In the opener the Bermuda Under 16 team and the BHB Angels drew 20 – 20, Jade Johnston would lead the Bermuda Under 16 team with 9 goals, with Coriah Simmons adding 6 goals and Nisaiah Berkeley scoring 5 times.
Sienna Woolridge was named the Bermuda Under 16 team MVP, while Sherica Miller was the MVPP for the BHB Angels, Johnston was the Bermuda Under 16 team Best Attacker, with Norette Simmons named the BHB Angels Best Attacker. The Best Defender for the Bermuda Under 16 team was Elishe Smith, with Miller named the BHB Angels Best Defender.
The Bermuda Under 19 team defeated the New Kids on the Court 27 – 10, Selah Tuzo scored 8 goals for the Bermuda Under 19 team, with Nabiilah Nasir adding 7 goals, while Kaamilah Nasir and Inshannae Smith both scored 6 goals apiece. Jaylyn Hines scored 8 goals for the New Kids on the Court, Diara Benjamin and Kelli Nusum added a goal each.
Amali Smith was named the Bermuda Under 19 team MVP, while Quaejah Cox was named the New Kids on the Court MVP. Tuzo was the Best Attacker for the Bermuda Under 19 team, while Nusum was named the New Kids on the Court best Attacker.
Zakiyah Durham was named the Bermuda Under 19 team Best Defender, while Cox was the New Kids on the Court Best Defender.
The final match of the evening saw the BAC Women in Blue defeat PHC 26 – 15. Tahirah Butterfield would score 14 goals for the BAC Women in Blue, Darrika Simons added 12 goals, while Sonja Townsend would score 10 goals for PHC and Vernicka Symonds added 5 goals.
Butterfield was the BAC Women in Blue MVP, while Akelah Furbert was the BAC Women in Blue best Attacker and the BAC Women in Blue Best Defender was Sarafina Woolridge.
