1. How does it feel to have been selected for the squad?

I am happy to have been selected to represent Bermuda and it is a pleasure to be a part of this team.

2. How will you prepare for the competition between now and July 21st?

I will be putting my all into training and ensuring that I do my very best and eat healthy to be prepared for the competition.

3. When did you start playing netball and what prompted you to start?

I started playing netball when I was in primary school because it was part of my gym lesson and I instantly fell in love with the sport. I wanted to play more netball and my mom eventually signed me up for Netts Netball Club.

4. Do you feel the sport of netball gets enough support from the local community?

No, I don’t feel the sport of netball gets enough support from the local community, especially since it isn’t as popular as other sports in Bermuda. The community does attend league games and netball doesn’t receive much sponsorship.

5. What are ultimate goals in life, both on and off the court?

I want to be successful in life and I hope that my positive, cheerful energy inspires others. I would like to encourage athletes, not just netball players, to continue to be the best they can be and grow with their sport.

6. If you had to, for some reason, have one non-netball player on your team, like a local politician/entertainer/public figure, who would you choose and why?

I would choose Power Girl because she seems like she would add a lot of positivity and laughs to the team.

7. Which Bermudian athlete, coach or sporting figure do you admire most and why?

Tanika White was my first coach, and I admire her the most, because she was the one who introduced me to netball. From the start she has been encouraging me and has been pushing me to do my best in the sport. I also admire the love she has for the sport and how she is always ready to help someone when they need it.
