Court: Man Charged With Sex Assault On Minor

In Magistrates Court today [Oct 29], a 57-year-old man was charged with multiple sex offences relating to a minor while in a position of trust, with the offences said to have spanned a number of years, back to 2008.
The man, who cannot be named at this stage due to legal reasons, is charged with touching the young girl.
The accused faces another charge of touching the same minor for a sexual purpose.
He faces a third count of having unlawful carnal knowledge of a girl under the age of 14, and the fourth charge also deals with having unlawful carnal knowledge.
The man was not required to enter a plea as the matter has to be heard in Supreme Court.
His next court appearance will be on December 3.
