Video: Sunday Nov 25th ‘Good News’ Spotlight
News that Steve Wilson won Bermuda’s first ever gold medal in boccia in Argentina, the Bermuda Boys Brigade and Church Girls Brigade raised $1,400 for charity, Nikki Bascome defeated a Mexican boxer to win the IBA Welterweight Title, Kimonea Pitt was called to the Bermuda Bar, and Flora Duffy received her OBE at Buckingham Palace were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, Bermudian actress Lana Young appeared on an episode of ‘NCIS New Orleans,’ the Premier’s Concert featured local talent, Madelyn Moore won a gold medal as she set a school record in the United States, James Stout and his partner Jonathan Larken retained their world rackets doubles title, and Nkosi Hollis sang his way to success.
Other good news stories included Camp Hope getting set to celebrate its 50th anniversary next year, the Warwick Academy Library celebrating ‘The Art of Books,’ the City of Hamilton giving away 1,000 reusable festive shopping bags, and Victor Scott Primary School honouring its alumni.
