Bermuda Cricket Team To Play In ICC In Canada
The 2019 ICC Americas Region World Cup qualifier will take place in Canada this July, with Bermuda set to play against USA, Canada, Argentina and the Cayman Islands.
President of the Bermuda Cricket Board Lloyd Smith stated, “On behalf of the Bermuda Cricket Board I am pleased to confirm the 2019 ICC Americas Region World Cup qualifier will take place in Toronto, Canada, July 7th – July 19th. Bermuda will play against USA, Canada, Argentina and the Cayman Islands.
“The winning team will go through to the ICC U19 World Cup. The Bermuda U19s have been training under head coach Arnold Manders since November 2018. Their training program has a strong skill and game-based focus and a comprehensive fitness program which will increase in the coming months.”
Mr Smith concluded by saying, “I would also like to take this time to thank and recognize BF&M for their continued support of the U19 program. BF&M have been major supporters of youth cricket for close to fifteen years now.”
