BNA Senior League Make Up Match Results
In a recent Bermuda Netball Association Senior League make-up match, the North Village Lady Rams took on the Storm at Bernard Park.
The North Village Lady Rams dominated the first quarter as the Storm could not find their rhythm; at the end of the quarter the North Village Lady Rams held a 10 – 3 lead.
The shooting combination of Nikita Trott and Darrika Simons was unstoppable at first, but in the second quarter some changes were made by the Storm, who pulled within three at the break with the score 17 – 14 thanks to strong shooting from Nabiilah Nasir.
The teams battled in the third quarter, scoring eight points each as the North Village Lady Rams held a 25 – 22 lead with one quarter to play.
In the final quarter, it seemed as if the Storm would stage a come from behind win, but the North Village Lady Rams held on for the one point victory at 34 – 33.
Simons led the North Village Lady Rams with 19 goals, while Trott added 16 goals. Nasir scored 28 goals for the Storm, who also got three goals each from Kaamilah Nasir and Selah Tuzo.
Chaquita Simmons was named the North Village Rams MVP, while the Storm MVP was Sonja Townsend.
