While the upcoming Bermuda Culture & Heritage Dinner is sold out, a number of events will allow the public to engage with celebrity chef Eric Adjepong during his time on the island for Restaurant Weeks, including a live podcast event, Afro Jam, the Lionfish Bites fundraiser, a Sunday brunch, and the Wild Flavours Foraging Tour.

A spokesperson said, “This week’s Bermuda Culture & Heritage Dinner with Eric Adjepong is sold out, but there are many other ways to engage with the celebrity chef while he’s visiting Bermuda for Restaurant Weeks 2020.

“More than 110 guests have seats to attend Friday’s Bermuda Culture & Heritage Dinner at Fourways Restaurant and Cobbs Hill Methodist Church, featuring a collaboration by the Ghanaian-American Top Chef finalist with Bermy Eats chefs Jaeleen Steede and Raven White.

“If you’ve missed your chance to buy tickets for the Bermuda Tourism Authority [BTA]-curated dinner, you can still engage with Chef Adjepong at other Restaurant Weeks special events during his visit to Bermuda this week.”

“Our team has worked closely with community stakeholders to help them shape their own food-related events, giving Chef Eric more Bermuda experiences to share with his followers,” said Glenn Jones, BTA Chief Experience Development Officer.

“The result of that work is a wonderful series of events that underscores this year’s Restaurant Weeks theme of ‘Food is Community.’ Ultimately, our goal is to elevate this annual wintertime food promotion to inspire travel to the island around it.”

“All events are listed on GoToBermuda.com and while the Fourways dinner is now sold out, tickets for other food experiences with him can be found at Ptix.bm.

“Brooklyn-based Adjepong captured headlines when, as a contestant on Bravo’s Top Chef Season 16, he planned a menu highlighting culinary traditions of Africa and trans-Atlantic enslaved people. Viewers were shocked, however, when he was eliminated in the final. Now, Adjepong brings his culinary storytelling to Bermuda [he’s also been invited back to next season’s Top Chef All Stars in March].
