Spennymoor Town Re-Sign Goalkeeper Dale Eve
Spennymoor Town have re-signed Bermudian goalkeeper Dale Eve, saying that he “made a big impression on the squad and the management team.”
The club’s announcement said, “The 25-year-old former Stoke and Forest Green Rovers stopper only made one league start after joining the Moors in February 2020, but made a big impression on the squad and the management team in that short period.
“He kept a clean sheet in what turned out to be the final game of the 2019/20 season in a 4-0 rout of Hereford at The Brewery Field and impressed in the Durham Challenge Cup. He has played for his country 15 times, including as the number one during the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup in Costa Rica and the USA.

“Eve enjoyed his taster of life at The Brewery Field and put pen to paper to become the club’s second permanent addition since the end of the season.”
He said: “I’m pleased to re-sign with the Moors. For me, playing football isn’t just a job. I look at all the time and energy I’m going to put in at a club and I want to feel comfortable about where I sign.
“The Spennymoor family did that for me. I felt like it was an environment that I could really grow and showcase my potential. The Manager, Jason, as well as the team, have welcomed me and made me feel like a part of the family. I’m looking forward to what next season will bring for us.”

Jason Ainsley said: “Dale was exceptional when he came into training and had to be patient to get his first league start
“He is a very big presence in and around his 18 yard box and showed in the Hereford game that he has all the attributes and qualities to play a lot higher. We are delighted that he has signed for us despite competition from other clubs.”
