Video: Sunday June 15th “Good News” Spotlight
News that the Kayak for Kids raised $140,000 for the SCARS charity, Branwen Smith-King has been inducted into the Tufts University Athletics Hall of Fame and WindReach’s Walk & Roll was held raising funds to support the charity’s initiatives were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news the St. David’s Islanders and Native Community held their Bermuda PowWow, Bermuda Motors celebrates Nicholas Fletcher’s completion of BMW’s top High-Voltage training in Istanbul and One Communications is donating a summer camp space to local charity, the Bermuda National Gallery.
Other good news stories included Yusef Bushara releasing his debut poetry collection, the Bermuda Guild of Stitchery has donating 60 handmade teddy bears and bags to four local outreach organisations and the Bermuda Zoological Society [BZS] and Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo [BAMZ] hosting a World Ocean Open Day.
