Bermuda Docs Gets New Sponsor: Car Brand Mini
The Bermuda Documentary Film Festival [Bermuda Docs] announced a new presenting sponsor; car brand Mini, which is available exclusively in Bermuda from Ultimate Motors.
Bermuda Docs will next be held from April 23-25 in the Tradewinds Auditorium of the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute. The festival features 10 feature-length documentaries from around the world. You can view a few preview video clips here.
In addition to the April festival, Mini will be the Presenting Sponsor of the second Bermuda Docs festival for 2010, a three-day event in October. The company also sponsored the first Bermuda Docs in November 2009.
The Bermuda Docs film line-up will be announced this Friday. Tickets, which will cost $15, go on sale this Friday at Bdatix.bm, the i-Store on Reid Street, Fabulous Fashions in Southampton, or by telephone at 232-2255.
General Manager of Bermuda Motors, owners of Ultimate Motors, Michael Butler said:
We were delighted with the first Bermuda Docs festival in November. The festival brought to Bermuda audiences a wide range of first-class documentary films, and the line-up for April is similarly impressive. We are proud and excited to support an event that I am sure will become a popular fixture on Bermuda’s arts calendar. The Mini philosophy, 50 years after the car was first launched, continues to be about being different, daring and creative – attributes that are shared by the world’s best documentary filmmakers.
Bermuda Docs festival director Duncan Hall added:
Having Mini come aboard as Presenting Sponsor of two Bermuda Docs events in 2010 is fantastic. Mini is one of the world’s great brands, and their sponsorship is a most welcome endorsement of Bermuda Docs.
