Man Arrested On Suspicion of “Drunk Boating”

A 25 year old Warwick man was arrested on Saturday evening on suspicion of “drunk boating”.

The man was taken from the boat in Hamilton Harbour to Hamilton Police Station, where Police detained him after he refused to take the alco-analyser test.

The Police had responded to a report of a man who was suspected of operating a boat while impaired on Saturday, April 24 at around 6:15pm. The Police officers say they noticed that the 25 year old Warwick man “exhibited signs of being intoxicated” and arrested him on “suspicion of operating a vessel while impaired.”

The Police anticipate he will appear in court in the near future.
