Premier Dr Brown Left UK, Now in Los Angeles

April 23, 2010

Following a news report on the “mystery” of his whereabouts, Dr Brown is offering to personally donate $500 to the charity of choice of an individual who correctly guesses his location.

Following being stuck in the UK for a number of days due to the volcanic ash, Premier Dr. Ewart Brown and the tourism delegation departed from Europe via Spain yesterday [Apr 22].

The Premier is currently in Los Angeles visiting family and will return to Bermuda Sunday, April 24.

Dr. Brown said:

This has been a very different week where our circumstances were beyond our control. With the help of our London office and others, we compensated in the best way we could.

Our group coped very well with the situation and I am delighted that we are all safe.

The whereabouts of both Dr. Brown and Minister David Burch had been reported as having “mystery surrounding” it by another news organization. Minister Burch had, in fact, left Bermuda in order to sign a tax treaty with the Kingdom of Bahrain.

This info could be worth $500 to your favorite charity.

From the Facebook account of both the Premier and his assistant Liana Hall:

According to VSB Radio News today “Mystery surrounds the whereabouts of Premier Ewart Brown who had been marooned in London from the last week due to the no fly situation created by the Icelandic volcano. He was expected by many to be on the first far-from-full British Airways flight from Gatwick along with his entourage, but although being seen in the first class lounge at Gatwick he did not make the flight. It would also have been possible for him to fly to North America from Gatwick but only Houston or New York.”

This news report has inspired a guessing game.

Do you know where your Premier is? If so accept this challenge: Guess correctly (before Sunday) by commenting below and all correct answers will be placed in a bucket to be selected by the Premier on his return. The Premier will personally donate $500 to the winner’s favourite charity.

Hint: I wouldn’t rely on the above news report for any clues….whether or not he was even at Gatwick airport is up for debate…
