Bermuda Hogges Earn First Victory Of Season

Bermuda hogges footballBermuda Hogges earned their first victory of the season when they defeated visiting Ocean City Nor’easters 1-nil at the Bermuda Athletic Association field.

Keishan Bean scored the lone goal of the match in the (73rd) minute after the Hogges applied pressure on the visiting team throughout the second half.

Ocean City goalkeeper Ogunbiyi, Tunde came up with a number of outstanding saves in the second half, as he was tested time after time.

Ocean City ended the game with only with nine men on the field after Salvatore Pictone was sent off for a severe tackle on Damon Ming, and Terry Gibbs was sent off later on for excessive back talking.  Bermuda also finished the game one man short after midfielder Damon Ming received a red card from referee Chris Penso.

After three games the Hogges have earned 4 points from a total of 9. With a record of 1 win, 1 draw and 1 defeat.

The Hogges, and Nor’easters play their second match today [June 6] at the BAA field, starting 6pm.
