2010 International Light Tackle Concludes
The 45th International Light Tackle Tournament [ILTT] hosted by the Bermuda Anglers Club concluded yesterday, with the tournament seeing anglers from the USA, Bahamas and Bermuda competing for the title. Visiting American angler Wayne Booth made the trip down for the 16th year, saying that he loves coming as Bermudians are so nice, and also lauded our local fishermen, saying that in his experience some of them rank amongst the best in the world.
Each 3-person team fished on a different charter boat each of the 4 fishing days. The tournament followed IGFA rules, using a points rather than the factor scoring system.
The first day of competition saw local angler Danny Fox land a 60lb wahoo, the second day didn’t go well for most anglers with very limited catches being brought in, and the third day saw far greater success with most boats coming in with a very respectable array of fish. The photos below are from the fourth day of competition.
