Tourism: Pop & Sizzle Ambassadors
The 2010 Senior Pop & Sizzle Ambassador Programme is designed to ensure visitors traveling to the island have a unique and enjoyable experience while in Bermuda. Stationed in the Royal Naval Dockyard, City of Hamilton and Town of St. George’s, this year’s Senior ambassadors in conjunction with the students.
Ambassadors will share with visitors information on Bermuda sights, attractions, restaurants while promoting the many things to see and do on the island. They will also interact with visitors on the ferries traveling to the Town of St. George’s to ensure that they have a memorable vacation on our island shores.

Originating from a 2007 discussion with the Premier & Minister of Tourism and the Bermuda Senior Islanders Center, this year marks the inception of the Senior Ambassador Programme. For the past six weeks, our valuable seniors have been actively promoting Bermuda sights and attractions, interacting with visitors on the ferries and providing information and assistance to visitors traveling to the Royal Naval Dockyard, Hamilton and Town of St. George. The Senior Ambassadors have showcased true Bermudian hospitality to our visitors to the island.

This year marks the third year of the Pop & Sizzle Ambassador (PASA) Programme, which incorporates students interested in Tourism & Hospitality serving as information ambassadors for a 10 week period.
This programme plays a role in ensuring that visitors traveling to Bermuda have a memorable and enjoyable vacation. As a Pop & Sizzle Ambassador, students primary goal is to ensure that visitors are having an enjoyable experience in Bermuda and provide them with any information requested on transportation, Bermuda’s attractions, restaurants and offer any assistance required.
In addition to providing information and assistance, the Pop & Sizzle Ambassadors promote on-island and Department of Tourism sponsored activities such as free summer events presented by The Bermuda Department of Tourism.
