Two Accidents Leave Four Motorcyclists Injured
Within 30 minutes of each other, two separate serious road traffic collisions occurred tonight [July 27] which have left four people with serious injuries. Both accidents involved two motorcycles
The first, at 6:27pm, occurred at Spicelands Road in Warwick, when two cycles collided. Both riders have been rushed to King Edward Memorial Hospital, with their specific condition unknown but thought to be serious.
The second accident, at 6:47pm, occurred on Parsons Road, Pembroke [right outside the laundromat]. Two motorcycles collided, and both riders have taken to King Edward Memorial Hospital for injuries that have been described as serious. The photo below was taken at that scene.

Update July 27 11:58am: Official information from the Police:
Around 6:50pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Parsons Road in Pembroke near the junction with Border Lane South involving an auxiliary cycle and a motorcycle. It appears that the auxiliary cycle and the motorcycle were traveling in opposite directions on Parsons Road when they collided. The rider of the auxiliary cycle, a 19 year old Pembroke man, sustained head injuries. The rider of the motorcycle, an 18 year old St. George’s man, sustained facial injuries. Both men were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Around 6:30pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Spice Hill Road in Warwick near the junction with Warwickshire Drive involving an auxiliary cycle and a motorcycle. It appears that the auxiliary cycle and the motorcycle were traveling in opposite directions on Spice Hill Road when they collided. The rider of the auxiliary cycle, a 17 year old Warwick man, sustained head injuries. The rider of the motorcycle, a 21 year old Warwick man, sustained serious head injuries. Both men were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The teenager was subsequently released. Both vehicles received front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
